There was no denying the fact that the voice and soul of Adele entered the hearts of viewers across the world on Sunday night. Adele took home sic Grammy awards including “Record of the Year”, “Song of the Year” and “Album of the Year,” tying the record held by Beyoncé for most Grammy Awards won by a female artist in a single year. Adele also took home honors in the following categories:

Record of the Year (“Rolling in the Deep”)
Album of the Year (“21”)
Song of the Year (“Rolling in the Deep”)
Best Pop Solo Performance (“Someone Like You”)
Best Pop Vocal Album (“21”)
Best Short Form Music Video (“Rolling in the Deep”)

In the newest issue of Vogue Magazine, Adele was asked about her future and said, “I am f***ing off for four or five years. If I am constantly working, my relationships fail. So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy.” This was sure to be a move that would disappoint her fans – but it all went out the window when Adele denied this break on her official website.

She laughed off her ‘five-year break’ plan  to British Tabloids and stated on her blog, ““BOYYAHH! 5 years? More like 5 days!” In discussion of the Grammy’s she refers to Sunday as “the most incredible night of my life,” and continued to thank her fans, while explaining the constant butterflies and goosebumps she has been experiencing with her new sense of fame. As a somewhat self-aware individual, she may carry a sense of over confidence, but in this case, can anyone truly argue with an artist taking home six Grammys?
