By Molly Clarke

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the flowers are starting to bloom. With spring right around the corner, we’re not only in for warmer weather, but also for new and exciting spring fashion.

With every change of season, inevitably, comes a change in clothing trends. To help closets everywhere make the transition from winter to spring, fashion magazines are currently full of tips to help everyone look their best in the upcoming spring season.

Here is what we have to look forward to:

1. According to Vogue Magazine. This spring will be all about bright, bold colors and patterns. More specifically, we’ll be seeing the colors red and teal as well as geometric prints and shapes.  Also popular on the runways of the spring 2012 fashion shows, were greek-inspired fabrics and garments. Typically spring time brings out floral patterns and colors and, as noted by Vogue, this spring will be no different.

2. Harper’s Bazaar also recognized a geometric theme throughout this season’s must-haves. Specifically mentioned were sportswear type garments, color blocking,  and bright florals. A huge trend on spring 2012 runways was the peplum, or the flared ruffle many popular designers are using to accentuate the waist on both tops and dresses. Pair any of these with bold, gold jewelry and you will be set for spring.

3. Elle Magazine noted a slightly different forecast for spring 2012 trends. Among the popular trends mentioned were bird-inspired items, pastels, and ornamental designs.  Like Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, Elle Magazine also mention sporty, geometrical looks as well as the peplum as important themes this spring. Elle also noted the use of digital imaging found on the spring 2012 runways.

How will you be incorporating these trends into your wardrobe this spring?
